Dr. Ryan Bowers, DC
Dr. Ryan Bowers is originally from Charleston, SC. He has been a chiropractic physician since 2009. He graduated from University of Western States in Portland, OR. He has done extensive post-graduate work at Palmer college of chiropractic in Port Orange, FL while receiving a certificate in electrodiagnosis. He has been a South Carolina licensed chiropractor for 10 years and enjoys helping families as well as people with injuries recover and get their life back. He is active in his church and keeps busy with his family, having five kids who are all very active in sports.
John Stavrakos, MD
Dr. John Stavrakos is a recognized expert in regenerative medicine with years of experience in the field. He is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and is a certified practitioner of hormone replacement therapy through BioTE, as well as certified in cosmetic medicine through the National
Laser Institute.
His academic career includes a residency at Stanford University and The Medical College of Wisconsin, where he went on to complete his
fellowship. He is also a member of, and guest lecturer with the American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Regenerative Medicine (AOAPRM),
as well as being a member of the Stem Cell Physicians Network.
He has attended multiple educational/training conferences in the field of regenerative medicine, as well as having undergone one-on-one
training with colleagues who are nationally recognized experts in the
field.

Ashley Hazelrigg, DNP
Ashley Hazelrigg has been in the healthcare profession since 2010. She has an undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as well as a post-graduate degree of Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP); both from the University of South Carolina. Ashley is a board-certified adult/gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. She has several years of experience as a critical care nurse prior to becoming a nurse practitioner (NP) in 2018 for which she spent two years in the hospital setting prior to coming to Pivotal Health and Rehab. Ashley has a passion for health and wellness and joined our team to form a more collaborative approach to improving overall well-being for patients. In addition to providing care as a nurse practitioner, Ashley spends her free time with her husband and two children. Some of their favorite activities are traveling, hiking, and sporting events.
Angelina Dow MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Angie started her career in the medical field as a registered nurse. She graduated with
her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from Hawaii Pacific University in December of 2002.
As a military spouse (now retired), she has had the privilege of caring for people around
the world and throughout the United States. After approximately 16 years of bedside
nursing and clinical care, she decided to further her education, and became a
Gamecock at the University of South Carolina’s nursing program. Angie earned her
Master’s degree in May of 2021, becoming an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
(APRN), specializing in family medicine. Angie has been married to her high school
sweetheart for 29 years, and is the proud mother of two grown children, and adores
being a Nana to two rambunctious grandchildren. She enjoys time spent with family,
gardening, and traveling.

Nicole Shertzer - Medical Assistant
Nicole was raised in nearby Lexington, SC and attended Clemson University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology. She loves being able to build relationships with patients and see their progress over time. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and exploring local sights. She is the proud mother of a tuxedo cat named Meeko.

Brina Shook - Office Manager
Brina was raised in Las Vegas, NV but relocated to Columbia, SC at the end of 2019. She has been in the medical field for just over 10 years, starting her career as a medical assistant and is now working on her Medical Billing and Coding Certification. She takes pride in learning the complexities of health insurance so she can better assist our patients and their unique healthcare needs. In her free time, she enjoys caring for her dog Hazey, spending time outside, and looking for her next adventure.

Koty Millard - Rehab Tech
Koty was born and raised in Columbia, SC and attended USC where he earned his degree in exercise science. He uses this knowledge to make a difference in patients’ lives by helping rehabilitate them using our specialized equipment as well as manual stretching and exercising. While at USC, he excelled on their soccer team and later played professionally in Australia for some time. He continues to play soccer in his free time as well as spend time outside and he loves to read.

Ravyn Smith - Front Desk
Ravyn grew up in the Charlotte, NC area before relocating to Lexington, SC. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her husband. Her favorite part of working at Pivotal is the relationships formed with patients over time and how she gets the opportunity to know each of them by name. You'll see Ravyn at the front desk, as she plays a key role in patient intake, obtaining medical records, and scheduling patients.
Savannah - Front Desk
Savannah moved to Columbia, SC to pursue a degree in neuroscience from the University of South Carolina. She is originally from Philadelphia and loves the Eagles! In her free time she enjoys cooking, sewing, hiking, and spending time with her dog, River. She is currently training for a marathon and enjoys running. You'll find Savannah exploring Columbia with her friends and spending time at the Soda City Market.
